Bookcase
This bookcase (89" wd. X 101" tall) is in a house in the Queen Anne style popular in the 1890's. It replaces a unit removed in the 1950's. The cases are of Mahogany plywood with doors, drawer fronts and moldings in the solid. I'm especially proud of harmonizing the molding and carving designs, and the color matching. This unit received an Honorable Mention in the Architectural Millwork category in Custom Woodworking Business Magazine's Design Portfolio Awards.
For the last 25 years I've been building Kitchens, Wall Units, and free standing furniture in hard woods. My experience has covered design, manufacture, finishing and the installation. My design preferences are traditional, with a love of turning and carving, and I like to work with a client's input. Area Served: Brownstone Brooklyn and Manhattan for built-ins ![]() HOME |
